About

A small studio that builds practical software for small businesses.

We work directly with the owner or operator. No account managers. No hand-offs. No months-long discovery phase. Just one focused engagement that ends with a working tool your team can actually use.

Based in British Columbia · Working with businesses across Canada

Why this studio exists

Most small business owners we meet aren't asking for software. They're asking for their week back. The follow-ups that keep slipping. The spreadsheet that breaks every Friday. The website that looks fine on a desktop but loses customers on a phone. The booking process that still happens by text message at 9pm.

Traditional agencies aren't built for this. The discovery phase alone costs more than the whole problem is worth. So most owners give up and go back to the spreadsheet, or buy a $200/month platform that almost fits.

We exist for the in-between: too custom for off-the-shelf, too small for an agency. Scoped to fit. Launched in weeks. Priced like a small business.

How we work

Three principles, applied to every project.

Understand the work first.

Before any wireframe or screen, we want to know how the work actually gets done today, including the bits nobody likes admitting to.

Build the smallest thing that solves it.

Every feature added is a feature to maintain. The first version is the smallest tool that genuinely fixes the problem.

No black boxes.

You see what's being built as it's built. You own the code, the data, and the domain. You can take it elsewhere any time.

What you can expect

Reviewed by humans. Owned by you.

A good business tool isn't a screen full of buttons. It needs to fit how the team actually works, protect the information it touches, and keep running long after launch, without you having to think about it.

Human review on every project

Real people review the design, copy, and functionality before anything goes live.

Clear scope before build

We agree on what's included, what's not, and what success looks like before we start.

Practical security considerations

Sensible defaults for authentication, data access, and form handling, appropriate to the project.

Built for maintainability

Clean structure and clear ownership so the tool keeps working long after launch.

Want to see if we're a fit?

One short call. We'll listen, ask a few honest questions, and tell you straight whether what you want to build is worth building, and whether we're the right ones to do it.
